WHO IS PANCAKE SLAP?

Pancake Slap is the slacker-rock project by Adam Scott-McGuinness.Born from the desire to create some music without the pressure of polishing and releasing music, Pancake Slap’s songs have a sense of frivolity and joy to them. Influences have been drawn from artists such as The Dandy Warhols, Alex Lahey, You Am I, and Custard.Adam reflects on the creation of the project with “I just wanted to have a bit of fun. Surprisingly, all my friends and family really enjoyed the songs and insisted I record and release them. So, here we are!”This is a very different approach to song-writing compared Adam’s work in folktronica act Porcelain Pill and his work as a composer for video games.Pancake Slap is slated to release the debut single “Hey, I Love Your T-Shirt” in early 2024 and is in the process of completing an EP of five joy-filled tracks.
